[Current Music |Time Spent Diving - 'Rain on Sundays']

Mad Week.
I have been out testing my journalistic skills! Sunday: Interview with half brother's best friend's band, The Aviators scheduled. They have been appraoched by several record companies, including Sony, but have not yet been signed. My dad drove me to the University of Surrey in Guildford and we spent a fair twenty minutes or so trying to find the damn building, such a confusing campus! But we arrived on time and were sat complaining about how the band had not arrived, and that the people next to us were smoking. Over an hour later my half brother strolls in and greets the people beside us and we realise that we have been sitting next to the band the whole time!

I conducted the interview (despite leaving the dictaphone in the car) and there was a round of applause and a "we were waiting for you to say that!" when I stated that the bassist looked like Kelly Jones of the Stereophonics. They were really funny guys and the gig was brilliant.

I'm a little sore at the moment because I strained the tendons in my legs at work the same day, and somehow developed an allergic rash on my hands, all from lifting and stacking Argos catalogues!?! The following day was quite nice because I was stood admiring buskers (a dude with an acoustic guitar and a pretty woman with a big cello) in the snow with some college friends, singing along to 'Golden Touch, 'High and Dry' and 'In My Place'.

Today was a lot of fun, I met with Scott, who had to suffer through my idea of a meal (mini pizza with smiley face chips!!!) and mad antics! We spent most of the day feeling the effects of the coffee which strangely enough makes me very sleepy.

Now I must go to bed and get up tomorrow thinking "AGGH! COLLEGE! I'M BEHIND AND DEMOTIVATED!" Ahem.

Goodnight All:)

heya :)

Glad the interview went well hehe..should try get them signed on modest management! cuz thats a parta sony..then they could be a new and surprise support act for a tour in april..haha..they "seem" like a cool looking band tho..she says..trying not to label them without having heard any of their stuff!

What did u think of the University of Surrey in Guildford? I have some friends there..i can understand what u mean by a confusing campus tho..just a "little" bit confusing eh haha

If ur still in pain cuza argos books u shud use deep heat.. see..my knowledge from the chemist can come in handy @ times kinda!

anyway..i think its time for my famous "essay over" line! Totally able to empathise with the "AGGH! COLLEGE! I'M BEHIND AND DEMOTIVATED!" Ahem. ..not good but u'l get thru it..just like i will...think of those STARS twinkling in the sky..waiting to be achieved haha. :)

Dennis instructed me to do it, I didn't stack catalogues by choice:P He didn't even thank me!:O Mean man, I've had to hobble everywhere this week!
Aww, thanks! I thought I looked stupid in that picture!! I purposely put up the picture in which everyone is pulling weird poses, it was far more entertaining!!

See you on Sunday ;D

By the way, I noticed that The Ordinary Boys are listed in your interests. I don't really know anything about them, but the band I interviewed (The Aviators) said that The Ordinary Boys turned up to one of their gigs with their record co/manager
